【摘要】:Aconstituentcontentofacompositematerialmustbeknowninordertoanalyticallymodelthematerialproperties(mechanical,physical,thermal,orelectrical)ofthecompositewhichareaffectedbythereinforcementormatrix.Also,knowledgeoftheconstituentcontentisrequiredforevaluationofthequalityofafabricatedmaterialandtheprocessesusedduringfabrication.Thevoidvolumeofacompositematerialmaysignificantlyaffectsomeofitsmechanicalproperties.Highervoidvolumesusuallymeanlowerfatigueresistance,greatersusceptibilitytomoisturepenetrationandweathering,andincreasedvariationorscatterinstrengthproperties.Knowledgeofthevoidvolumeofacompositematerialisdesirableasanindicationofthequalityofacomposite.Reinforcementcontentmaybeusedtonormalizemechanicalpropertiesaffectedbyamountofreinforcementinthecoupon.1.1Thesetestmethodsdeterminetheconstituentcontentofcompositematerialsbyoneoftwoapproaches.MethodIphysicallyremovesthematrixbydigestionorignitionbyoneofsevenprocedures,leavingthereinforcementessentiallyunaffectedandthusallowingcalculationofreinforcementormatrixcontent(byweightorvolume)aswellaspercentvoidvolume.MethodII,applicableonlytolaminatematerialsofknownfiberarealweight,calculatesreinforcementormatrixcontent(byweightorvolume),andthecuredplythickness,basedonthemeasuredthicknessofthelaminate.MethodIIisnotapplicabletothemeasurementofvoidvolume.1.1.1Thesetestmethodsareprimarilyintendedfortwo-partcompositematerialsystems.However,specialprovisionscanbemadetoextendthesetestmethodstofilledmaterialsystemswithmorethantwoconstituents,thoughnotalltestresultscanbedeterminedineverycase.1.1.2Theprocedurescontainedwithinhavebeendesignedtobeparticularlyeffectiveforcertainclassesofpolymerormetalmatrices.ThesuggestedapplicationsarediscussedinSection4,aswellasatthestartofeachprocedure.1.1.3MethodIassumesthatthereinforcementisessentiallyunaffectedbythedigestionorignitionmedium.Aprocedureforcorrectionoftheresultsforminorchangesinthereinforcementisincluded.ProceduresAthroughFarebasedonchemicalremovalofthematrixwhileProcedureGremovesthematrixbyignitingthematrixinafurnace.1.1.4MethodIIassumesthatthefiberarealweightofthereinforcementmaterialformisknownorcontrolledtoanacceptabletolerance.Thepresenceofvoidsisnotmeasured.Eq9and10assumezerovoidcontenttoperformthecalculation.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection9foradditionalinformation.
